Hi everybody,

Had some serious digging going on out back tonight and didn't find 1 coin. First time ever! But I found some other cool stuff. Including 4 different marbles. I put the quarter for size comparison. They are all different sizes. I have no knowledge of marbles. Can anybody help me out? A quick search brought up a ton of stuff. The areas history is of German decent and they were about 8 to 10 inches down. That's the best I got. I keep getting excited just trying to get an idea of what they are. Prices are off the charts for some!!!
Also, Found a bottle top with a patent date of Feb 7, 1893... matching my oldest dated find. First toy gun handle and spoon. Toy truck tire. Another first, the ring. Not sure what's it's for but it's neat. I'm also not sure about the "barrel" looking part of the gun. May be a broken spade handle. Kinda off scale with the pistol grip.
Thanks in advance for the help and good luck. :hello:

Hey kfetters.

That's a Hutter stopper.

"Hutter Closure, circ: 1893-1920,
Invented by: Karl Hutter,
American Patent: February 7, 1893, Number 491,113,
American Patent: June 16, 1896, Number 562,225,
American Patent: April 13, 1897, Number 580,456,
This stopper was an improvement to the Lightning stopper and was extremely popular and eventually replaced the Lightning as the preferred beer bottle stopper. A tapered porcelain plug was fitted with a rubber washer on the bottom and forced into the lip of the bottle to seal it. This stopper was replaced with the crown cork." North American Soda & Beer Bottles - Beer Closures

You might want to post your marbles down in the Marbles Department. Go down to Bottles & Glass & look North. The marble guys are gonna want to see photos in natural light, ideally, from a couple of angles. That big one might be good...

Wow! Had no idea about that stopper surf. Thank you for all that info.
I should have known there would be a marble section here. Rookie move.lol.. I'll get it posted in the correct spot. Thanks for tips on the pics.

Your marbles are modern marbles, made from the late 1950s and up.

I'm not very familiar with marbles but duffytrash on the marble forum will help a lot. He always helps me with the marbles I find while detecting
