Hi All,

Almost a full week of hard work. I have been at a leadership camp working closely with a group of youths. The camp is to teach these groups how to become a good leader and go through the stages of team development. I have been leading them and haven't gotten more than 6 hours of sleep all week. It's been tough and I have one more week of this. I still think about gold mining everyday. I would like to have some pictures of gold on this thread. I'm tired physically an mentally. The pictures of gold will hopefully get me a little encouragement and motivation. I would appreciate anyone who posts. Thanks in advance.

You'll have to wait one more day for fresh gold. Here one I took sometime in April. Stay strong, get some sleep and know that you are doing good for somebody.

Can you take the youngsters on a hunt for gold? If not, well, ok. However, I have not been able to find gold in a nugget or coin form yet. However, the parks have offered some gold for husband and me. I know it sounds cheesy, but the higher end or older end parks seem to have all the gold rings and trinkets hiding in the dirt. Good luck!

Thanks for the golden pics. They are pictures, can't wait to go back out for more hunting. I'm trying to feed my gold fever by a creek that's on the camp. They have a almost dried up creek. Started looking around and found some rocks and other things. Wish I had brought my pan. I know the ranger of the ground and could ask him. I could take some pictures as well. I'm trying to stay occupied on things I like.

OMG! Lucky is the person to land this assignment (unless it is involuntary such as community service :icon_scratch: ). I have heard it said, and totally believe, that one person's words to a child can affect that kid's life profoundly -- forever. Even though it is a lot of work right now -- worthwhile things usually are -- you are digging into some real treasure there.

And the gold will still be waiting for you, like it has for a thousand zillion years. Hang tough.

Thanks for sharing all the chunky gold pictures. It brings an enjoyment for some reason. Kind of like a relief because it's been a very tiring week. 6 hours of sleep each day till today. Tomorrow it's back to the same thing. Another week is coming up, it will be tough but the gold pics are helping me a lot. Can't wait to get back home then go mining. On a note about the land, it will not be the last time I will be here, plus I know the ranger personally to some extent. He owns the land and if I really wanted to I could ask him if I could look around. Got to watch out for rattlers and ticks and what not. Something to keep my mind occupied, thanks to all.

Hey There Jeff,

Glad you clarified yourself, LOL. Those two pictures form some fantastic memories and reasons to 'return' at least for an entire summer.
