Need info on bullet to identify it. Diameter, height, weight, and rub the dirt off so we can see all of it. I suspect RR3 probably guessed it. Thanks. Monty
The bullet is just shy of .30 caliber and weighs just shy 65 grains. All American made calibers except a very few use inches and grains instead of metrics. So, the bullet is probably from a .30 or .32 caliber firearm. And with a 65 grain bullet it would most likely be a handgun. I would guess it is from a .32 short, or a .32 Long revolver. I also have a Russian made revolver that I reload for and I use a 65 grain .32 caliber lead bullet. So, take your pick. A person would have to have on hand a list of forensic charts to determine exactly by figuring out the number and size of the grooves and lands. Monty
