maybe someone can help me on how old this coin is it says one cent on one side its as big as a half dollar

Large Cent.

My Guess Matron or Young Head 1816 - 1857

matron head large cent--28-29 mm.
liberty cap large cent--29mm
draped bust large cent--29mm

modern half dollar--30.6 mm.

Braided hair large cents are slightly smaller. The wreath pattern looks like the Matron Head. Thats probably what it is. Nice find. You're in the large copper club now.

Definetly a large cent. Not older than 1808. It is hard to see anything on the obverse.
