Looking for information one these two items we dug yesterday. The button says John Wilson & Sons Glasgow and measures 5/8 inches in diameter.
I can find information on glaziers by that name, but nothing on button manufactures or clothiers. Any Ideas?

The second piece looks like a GIANT wick adjuster for a kerosene lamp. It measures 1 inch in diameter, is a heavy 1/8 of an inch thick, looks like there is evidence of silver gilt, and has no markings other than the stars and rays. Any Ideas?

Item on right is off a old oil lamp...HH....Bonz

Yeah..that is what I have been leaning towards, but I have searched every way I know how to, but I can't find a match. I would love to identify the lamp that it came from.

Were there any markings on the button backside? The few I have found usually have the button makers mark on the back and the name of the business it was made for on the front.

Thanks! There is nothing at all on the back of this one.

found a company by same name in glasgow that has been in buisness since 1895. But they do glass, maybe they made buttons in the past?
Edit:scratch that, doesn't pan out after looking into it

I can't find anything on that button for sure. I looked around again last night and it is a tough one. Just random mentions of companies with that name.

I sure appreciate you efforts .. Your earlier post that references the Interim Report by the Subscriber is interesting, and I am trying to research from that angle. Thanks again for efforts.
