Need some help with this coin looking V shaped object .At first I thought this was cut out from Canadian 1940's 5 cent coin but then when I compared them they look to small for the V-shaped object plus the color don't match as well . I'm stuck right now and lack of knowledge of coins doesn't help me any . 024.webp019.webp023.webp

I knew that I had wrong year of nickel but my unknown coin hasn't got the Canada on top of flame so now we can eliminate the Canadian 5 cent pieces , I'm maybe thinking about some kind of British Empire coin ,deffinetly not Canadian origin

I believe its either the 1943 or 1944 variety composed of brass vs. the chrome plated '45 (or '44); and much more likely to be the '43 with nearly 25M minted versus the '44 with only 8k minted but only one known. (KM#40). Don....
PS: 'Canada' may simple be obliverated.

No, I don't think we can eliminate all 5 cent pieces. In fact, it is the nickel I pointed out to you, and I believe Mackaydon is right, from the patina it looks chromed. Whoever cut this out of the coin did some edge work and shaved it down. In the photo I attached, I outlined the bottom of the letters "ANAD" which you can still see on your coin.

And the remains of the obverse are an exact match as well. Good ID!
