Need some help with this, I think its a button.

Found this in my front yard last night. It looks like a button, but it has a lot of rust build up on the back of it, so it is kind of thick for a button. There are two stars on it and two train engines. Im curious of its age. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Looks like a button possibly from some overalls. I know there have been a lot of train buttons posted on Tnet from overalls.
That's just my guess.

I agree, a rivet type button, common to vintage "work clothes".

I believe you two are probably correct. I hadnt seen one like it, mostly Roundhouse overalls here.
