Need some help with this button

I found on the surface in an old dump next to a house that showed up on a map from the 1850s (planing on going metal decting down there this weekend). It looks to be a two piece, with the bottom being iron and the top being copper. It has 6 smaller raised pieces of iron around on big one. There may also be some very faint triangle design
around the edge of the copper piece.
