Need some help please.

Since I and my wife have never been surf and beach hunting we are looking for some info on a place that we can go for a couple of days this spring in the mid-atlantic coast. Doesn't need to be your honey hole, just a place where we can stay thats affordable and close to a couple of beaches. We are really looking forward to getting out of here (mid-missouri ) for a couple of days and want to try our luck at some beach detecting. Any info would really be appreciated. I agree. I have stayed there in the summer and it was not bad in price. I stayed for 5 days on beachfront, 1 meal each day and water-park for $400. This was for 4 people.
