I found all these objects at a park dating to 1887.

Any idea about when Rexall drugs began making their tubes with the raised letters and for how long? Weighs 9.3 grams. Read between just below pull tab.

Any info about the harp looking button? Possibly from a band member's uniform? It read like a silver coin. Back say 'Superior Quality'.

Could the lead ball be from a muzzler loader? Weighs 11.7 grams.

Are the last two objects weight tags? I've found them before at older sites. What were they primarily used for?

Nick, nice job on the button id. The one I found was probably silver plated. Not worth much but different. Thanks.

Quicksilver, I worded my question poorly. What I wanted to know was, when did Rexall start making their tubes with the raised letters, plus the top is fairly heavy for a tube of medicine.

Some really interesting finds to say the least. The shot is just that, shot, but the ones that are split are split to attach to fishing line. Homemade fishing weights. Don't know much about coins and the other articles. I do know Chinese trade tokens had a square hole in the middle so,?? Also, the buttons with the harp are obviously from band uniforms. Every unit of any size in the CW era had a band. The rest would just be an unexperianced guess.

Button: Waterbury Button Company... The "Superior Quality" quality mark on the button back was used by Waterbury from 1875 - 1935.

Steele and Johnson used the "SUperios Quality" quality mark also for quite a few years.

The exact markings, with or without spaces and stars and dots all make a difference. I can't help any further... but I'd have NO problem going with the Waterbury ID as they still make the exact button today!
