Hello All. I got out my Minelab Excalibur II and discovered that the spring clip for the shaft was broken. I have spent nearly an hour online trying to find a source. It is Minelab Part #30-8004-0006 - Clip, Spring Double S/Steel 1/4 INCH. This is a simple part which should not be difficult to find. Any help is appreciated. Sorry if this is not the correct place for this post--the posts on the Excalibur II forum were almost all pretty old.

Last time I needed one I went to a thrift store and cannibalized a medical adjustablecane or crutch. I’m not sure what they’re called.

I replaced my spring clips with a nylon bolt and wing nut that hold the battery and electronics pod on the shaft. Then used the spring clips on the shaft for easy adjustment / stowage of the detector.

I would set the shaft at the preferred length, drill a hole and use a neoprene nut and bolt. I do this to all my detectors. If you need to shorten the shaft to get it in your vehicle, then you'll need to get the spring clip. Ed

For a stock shaft? If so, I probably have one. Aren't there 3 of those in the shaft? Can't you just move one of them to the spot you need it?
