Detector(s) used
Whites XLT
Yes, you do save alot of time with one. Yesterday I was out with a friend, I use a sunray probe on an xlt which is attached to the machine (I lost my last one that wasn't) So after awhile of hunting we looked at our finds, I did manage to get more than double the finds,, only cause I spent less time fiddling around in the fod. We use identical machines with Identical programs, hes gonna get a sunray when he gets back from his honeymoon.

I like to use my in city parks. If the coin is only a couple of inches down the pinpointer will find it and I can recover it right away with minimal digging.

Well, I wouldn't go with the Whites Bullseye. Everyone who owned one has had the switch repaired multiple times. :-\

You might want to take the advice of others and get an inline probe if one is compatible with your machine. The added benefit is that you can't lose them. :icon_thumright:

I got a Garrett Pro-Pointer last weekand have nothing but good things to say about it.
Won't go without it from now on.

I have tried the DetectPro Pistol Probe. This pointer is bulky, seems fragile and is hard to hear.
The garrett pointer is very nice. Heavy duty construction, water resistant, vibrates and has a loud tone. It also has good depth.
I just got a Sunray probe mounted on my E Trac. This bugger has great depth, better than the other two probes, and is very easy to use. The probe itself is waterproof, but the toggle box is not. I like that I can pinpoint in discrimination and hear the tone from the MD. I think the Sunray is the way to go. The only draw back I see is if you forget to toggle back to the MD after pinpointing.

Another model you may want to look at is the Vibra-Probe 580.

Water proof, vibrating, and ruggedly built.

Whatever unit you decide on, it will help you to cut down on your recovery time.

They all have pros and cons. You have to decide which one is right for you.
