The headphones on one of our detectors bit the dust yesterday, and I'd like to pick up a pair this evening so that I'll be ready for tomorrow. Can I just go to Radio Shack and pick up a pair of inexpensive, lightweight phones? The last ones I had were bulky and hot in the summer. Do I need a special adaptor? Would they sell that sort of thing at Radio Shack or do I need to go to a place that specializes in detectors? Does anyone have any suggestions about what kind to buy?

Hello Moon,
You can go to Radio Shack or any other store like Wal-Mart etc and get some inexpensive headphones. However, I am not sure that inexpensive headphones are the way to go. You can pick up some Koss light weight ones but your looking at around 45.00 to 55.00. I picked up some Radio Shack wireless headphones but when I was done the total cost came to $77.00. You may need an adapter for your machine as the toggle is smaller than the detecting headphone toggle.
Good Luck on whatever you do.

Get the kind that goes over your ears! ;D

I have bought the cheap ones and the high dollar ones and they both have the same result in the end. The connections go bad! Get some for 20 bucks so when they do go bad and they will you will not be so upset!
