Need magnetometer info.

Have posted this in the Geo post area,yet no replies. not a well visited site I guess!
Have a Crone JEM magnetometer (1974), and a Jalander handheld magnetometer
(1968), but no manuals available from the companies(still in business) though!
Does anyone have ANY info. on their operation & capablitis(sorry spelling).
Am at a stand still!
