google the model number. It will give you all the info about the machine. It also should give you an idea of what the price used should be.

I googled it, but seem to be getting all different whites. Guess do not know enough about this machine to even know what im looking for. Was hoping someone on here could tell me about it. I do not have model # just took pics and wont be back that way till next week.

Guess what i ment was, i googled the info i had, not model number as i dont have it. Just took pics figuring i could look it up, but get different colors, models etc. So i really have no idea what im looking at. Is this an older model? Is there a newer version of this machine?

My brother had a surfmaster. I think it only comes in the yellow color. That looks like the one he had which was 8 or 9 yrs ago so that could be an older model. I guess it would depend on how it was taken care of. The one he have me maybe had 60 hours on it and its 8yrs old. He found some cool stuff with it.

You can get an almost new PI machine for $400-450. I sold one and have watched many on Fleabay go for that.

Thanks for the info

I have a whites surfmaster PI. It is 12 years old and works like new. There are about 3 slightly different versions of this detector, all are good. I have found rings at 10" on the beach, anchors at 2+' on the beach and fine gold chains. For that price you can't go wrong. Oh, one note, It has the heavier underwater coil in your picture. Underwater coil is yellow, surface coil is black.
Frank...
