Need info on Military button.

Found this Military button the other day any info on age and Type the back is gone no markings rusted out. Thanks

I'm not 100% sure on this one but I don't think it's military but think it's a blazer button made to look like a navy button. A couple reasons are the iron shank and the lines in the back field of the face extend into the rim. As far as I know I've never seen the lines go into the rim on a military button of any type.

I also agree. We have debated this fouled anchor button before because it looks like some old British types but I doubt any Navy would use something that rusted so easily.

I cant find this button with the stars but it resembles these fashion buttons. Bottom line 1900's fashion blazer.
