It is a man's dress belt buckle roughly from the late 40's to early 50's. You are hitting some interesting sites or a site. How deep was this buckle? Did your detector indicate it as being different say from the knife you found? There is more out there and I've a feeling you are going for it...............63bkpkr

It looks like the same belt buckle that was on my grandpas belt that he used to tan my hide with nice find.

The knife and the buckle were at 2 different sites. I do know that the site where the buckle is from goes all the way back to the mid 1800's. also the buckle was kind of deep ( 6 inches). Any ideas on what the T stands for? Custom engraving?

Thanks a lot.

I would think think the initial refers to the owners first or last name initial. Custom engraving probably not but if its older than I'm thinking it could be............63bkpkr
