I dug this yesterday at the colonial site my friend Dan and I have recently been hunting at. We're dug a ton of artifacts here, and almost all are from the 1700s so I assume that's the likely date for this interesting lead seal. I can see a crown on one side with an "N" to the left of it, and what looks like "ATION?LE" on the reverse. The letter missing in the middle of that string is probably an "A", but I have no clue about the rest of the word or any of the designs on this piece. Maybe someone familiar with early lead seals will recognize it. You can click on each pic to enlarge for greater detail. Thanks for the help.

Seems to be an old bale seal. I found about 10 my first year. If you.Google lead bale seal you may be able to find its origin. Goodluck and keep digging!
