✅ SOLVED Need ID help on early colonial iron artifact

Just finished cleaning this up, and it came from a trash pit that dated to the mid-1600s based on pipe stems, pottery, etc. It's about 6" long and has a point on one end and a tapered chisel-like look on the other. Does anyone have a clue or care to hazard a guess?? Probably some kind of tool, but would like to know specifically. Thanks.

looks like an old chisel...
iron or steel...there is a difference.

I have dug one and mine is a cupped shaped chisel
