Interesting items. I would have said threaded rod for the one on the right but it appears to be rings, not threads. Very interesting….

The rectangular shaped one is part of a connector.
1 slides into another one.

Pretty sure that the one on the left is a “Repair Splice” for ACSR. (Aluminum power line). It doesn’t hold tension, just a bandaid for birdshot conductor.
