Need help

I'm Extremely new to this field and am looking for any help that I can get! I live in Florida and of course would love to find a sunken ship that has never been found before, but, that maybe a little more then I can chew right now so any advise on how to start and what I need? Plus if I do want to research a sunken ship where and how do I look to find information?
