Hello Folks,
I usually do pretty good with iding buttons without a book, but not quite for sure on this one. My Son found it this evening in our yard. the BM reads: Waterbury Button co Waterbury con. and has the 3 rings. The front as shown is blank. I have a Kentucky Seal button with a some what similar BM but this one is different with the rings.

I hope someone can help me out and give me proper ID for my Son.

Thanks, Bill

It's a plain face 2 piece button and Creskol is right on with the dates of the backmark

Thank you both for the ID,

In Tice's book Plate B-9 11 C. 1870-1890 star = * *WATERBURY BUTTON CO. * / WATERBURY CON. depressed mark (dm) with two inner rings of dots and one outer dotted ring, ca 1870-ca 1890. Either way close enough, post war for sure.
