New Excalibur II, DFX w 12" Super and stock coil, XLT with stock coil, 14" & 6" coils
Found this today at the same house site where I have found a bunch of other old items. The house was built in 1780. I'm not sure what this one is. It looks like a large button but the wire on the back doesn't match up to any buttons I have seen. Another strange thing is the "material" inside the button. It appears to be a two piece of copper with a piece of material sandwiched between them. The inside of the "flower pedals" is some type of soft material, maybe leather.
On the back I can read "PATENTED ?????? 75"
Any help on an I.D. would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks.

Nice find

Looks like it might go on a bridle. I am having a hard time picturing what it looked like new with the copper and the leather on it

Thanks for showing it to us

off a bridle for a horse.
go look back in the hole you may find the stones that were once in it.

Cool find the front looks like a petrified pomegranite fruit slice.
