Found this in the woods of western Pennsylvania. It has the Pa Keystone symbol on it. Any help is appreciated. IMG_1441.JPGIMG_1440.JPGWhy do they load sideways??:icon_scratch:

You need to take the photo with the phone horizontal. That will fix it. Or get an editing program and rotate it. It took me forever to figure it out. That's a cool item, don't know what it is.

Like Smokey said "Hold Horizontal" and look for the phone rotation icon to make sure its upright.

Plus one on tool tags. However local farms by me used them also as livestock ear tags. I've found lead ones also, guess whatever was available.

This is a nice find PDD.
Hopefully someone in PA will recognize what the insignia represents, it's likely a mining tool or swimming pool locker I.D. tag.

You will find these often at late 1800s and early 1900s SW PA sites. Thickness of the brass and overall diameter are consistent, but hole size and punch number style will vary greatly. Your example is unique with the Keystone symbol and initials. Most of the time these were used by mines, but sometimes farmers used them as well. Researching mining and farming operations in the location where you found it may ID it. Congrats
