Can any one help me Id this button found in cornfield in north east pa 15768662920061386069470.jpg1576866421629167918551.jpg

Looks like an 1812-1820 infantry button. The top would have said E PLURIBUS UNUM.

My Alberts button book is missing, but that reminds me of the eagle with its head turned to its right shoulder with the E PLURIBUS UNUM up top. Wherever you found it, hopefully there’s more land around it to scour. If it was me I’d be back out there as soon as I could. If found in PA I’m sure there’ll be a lot more where that came from especially with it being around the time of the war of 1812.

That’s why where I found all those old coins, and medal from 1886, and civil war bullets, I’m going to ask the owner if I can disc it up, and plant new grass, so I can get some deeper targets.
