Just picked this spoon up (bought, not found detecting). I'm hoping it's sterling silver, but I'm not really sure. It has "SWC" then a Lion, then what looks like a slanted "O", then "England". The spoon is a 1970 Mayflower commemorative.

Update: Ok, looking online, looks like the slanted O is the date stamp for 1969.

Thanks for any help you can provide!!

What is the writing under the spoon?
Don...

I don't have it on me right now, but it says something like Mayflower 350th Anniversary Commemorative Spoon 1620-1970

It doesn't state sterling or anything on the box, so that's why I was curious. So is it safe to assume it's solid silver?

I'm 90% sure it's silver. If no more responses, will just assume it is. Only paid $9.99 for it, so no real down side.

The Lion mark means sterling.
