Need help with some clips(?)

Found the first one today - the back is marked Pat. (July 4)? 1904
The second one was found about three months ago - Back is marked w/ no. (8?)505 and what looks like a signature underneath (though I can't make it out)
If anybody has any info on these - much appreciated

Thomas walker i think is Thomas Gilbert walker. Walker limited great Britain Holds patents for suspender and stocking suspender fittings from 1920s and 30s.
