Need help with signature on oil painting

I have seen this artist's signature somewhere before but don't remember who it is. Can anyone recognize this and tell me who it is please? Any help is greatly appreciated.

Sorry, I failed to mention that there is a date written in pencil on the back that says, "1895" and the picture posted is sideways. It shoud have the signature in the right corner, not the left corner. The flower stems are at the bottom with the flowers going up. Sorry for the confusion. Not sure if the initials are AP, AP, PR, PA ?

I wonder if AP stands only for Artist Proof rather than for the initials of the artist (assuming the letters are AP, of course).

Don't get me wrong... just my opinion...

1895 I'm guessing was the price at some time or other ($18.95) or the item number from a large sale. To me this looks like 2nd half, 20th century.
