need help with settings around a cell tower

my friend lost a mens gold class ring near a cell tower and is near an iron water pipe . I seem to get a lot of interference from the pipe or cell tower any advice would be helpful thanks skeeter86

use a very small coil anywhere close to any metal structure. Normally your settings must be moved lower - esp. sensitivity. Now if you are getting electromagnetic interference, I'd ask the manufacturer. Every MD is not the same. You'd have to talk to someone with knowledge of your actual MD.

I know that a cell phone won't work right under a cell tower for they broadcast horizontally not omnidirectional ... You need to be about 300' out from under a tower for reception.
Sooooo ..... It must be all of the metal that's in the area.
