Need help with ring

I found this ring yesterday and I can't find this hallmark anywhere. I believe it's a crown or a W. I'm fairly sure it's old because it was about 6 inches down. The setting is an opal.

Thanks! Yeah I found some that resemble it. I've even sent a pic of the marks to the local jeweler. I guess I'll just enjoy it without really knowing its story.
