Need help with Japanese writing

Is it big or small? Is it hand painted?

I won't pretend to know anything about these other than they are called Byobu (wind wall). The orientation of the characters may offer a clue about the age. The really old ones I saw had the kanji oriented vertically. Once you find someone to read it, again the orientation will speak to the age. Old style Japanese was mostly written right to left until after WWII.

It's about 30 inches long by 16 inches tall and is hand painted............ I don't think it is on silk I think it's painted on heavy paper I did notice it wasn't the vertical writing I usually see
