Need help with identifying war button .

This button I found last summer 2009.It is about 1"inch in diameter and what appears to be two cannons crossed with a shell with the letter "B". The back doesn't have any back mark and it looks like the shank was a screw type.Thanks for information and for looking.

Looks like a circa 1914 U.S. Coastal Artillery officer's collar insignia, Battery B .. just a thought!
