Need help with Eagle pin

Dug this eagle pin in a early 40's dump. Anyone have a clue about it? Military?? Thanks!

I don't recognize it as being military, but can always be wrong.
It is very similar to some of the Son in Service pins of WWII though: "son in service" eagle pin - Google Search

Here's a better match, but the sellers description in the title is incorrect I believe: WWII AAF Pilot Officer Sterling Eagle Pin w Prop & Wings Pendant Early PB Mkd
The part of his description of it as "maybe" a sweetheart pin is the correct one.
