Dug this today in an old farm field. It is the same size as a large cent and same approximate weight as a large cent. It appears to be made of copper, rang up high 80s on my AT pro. I can make out what looks like a horse on one side with some letters on the top edge. I can see something on the back, kind of boxy. I think I see a date under the horses belly, looks like 1819. I've never seen anything like this, Any help is appreciated.

Horse head would be NJ state copper, right?

I can't see anything, except on the rim I see two "I"s... maybe an upside down KG?

Best of luck on the ID, someone will ID it shortly... I am just "Professor Guesser" when it comes to this stuff!

I wish it was just the horse head, it's a side shot of the horse, head and legs to the left and leg and tail to the right. Thanks for looking.

It's a large cent, and if not a hard times token.

top right at 3 o'clock is the date. it looks like it's an 1855 large cent. shot of back right below it the coin is still oriented the same, so the back looks like the wreath and the legend 'one cent' I think this coin is either fire or fertilizer damaged

The coin I'm trying to id is on th left, coin on the right is a large cent I used for scale. Dug both today in the same field, fertilizer is pretty rough on copper.
