I dug this in an old farm field in south eastern Massachusetts. The field dates back to early 1800s. It was about 6 inches down and rang up a 55 on my at pro. Silver normally rings up in the 80s for me so not sure what the metal is. Not sure if it's low silver content or different metal. I took some pics through my loupe because of how hard it is to see but I did take one with a Lincoln for scale. As always your thoughts and opinions are greatly appreciated. Not sure if my eyes are fooling me but I swear I see 1767 in the first pic

can't make out much detail, but some Canadian coins from the 1800s have that circle design on the reverse. Might be worth poking around.

Edit... hmmm... on second thought, it's kind of small. Not really sure what it could be.

Sorry about the side ways pictures, they weren't like that when I previewed the post. Mackaydon I think your right, a skilling of some kind. The pictures were supposed to have the broken off portion facing bottom right in the first pic and bottom left in the second pic.

If I'm right, the ship was named the Segelschiff or Segelschiffe, and was involved in the transatlantic slave trade.
The coin contains only 50% silver, perhaps the reason your signal was 'low'.
