All I can say its a kinda quality mark. Standard is (I think) is just 1 coat of guilding unlike the triple etc...

Its a cica 1800-1840. I'm sure someone ;) will narrow that gap.

Camo, Welcome to the forums. It would be best for you to start your own thread and post front and back pictures of your button. While circa 1800-1840 is a good estimate of flat button dates yours could be earlier.
