Found this Flat Button last week. PEG Flat Button.webp can't find it in Tice. I believe its PEG in front of shield with eagle behind. I found a dozen other flats, 2 ball, and 1 tombac all whiten a 50 yard stretch. Any help would be appreciated.
 

I may be off base, I couldn't get the picture to enlarge, but I think you may have an old infantry regiment button. I think your righting says REGt, with the "t" raised. At the top it should say U.S.I.. The one I am looking at is on page 27 of Albert's button book, number 53R1a. It would be around the 1812 date. There are some others that could be it also on page 26.

I think your right. I'll dry it off tomorrow and see if I can make out more.
I don't have Alberts book, I have to look into that.

Yep he's got it right again. REGt shows now.
With a dozen other flat buttons withen yards of each other and a Tombac button the Brits used. Now to figure out whose Camp it was. Thanks all.
