I found the following button in a field in Southwestern Ontario near Lake Erie.
There used to be a small village there at one time. Could someone help with
ID'ing the coin. Sorry that the picture isn't too good.

Thanks

Is there a back-mark too the button, back of the button with companies name? Think this is just a vintage crown and shield button, don't think Waterbury made this crown and shield there are literally 1,000s of different styles.

From what I can make out it looks like the back reads "FIRMIN AND SONS LONDON"

Firmin and Sons made millions of buttons and they are still in business today. From a back-mark book I have it says the back-mark was used "Firmin & Sons London (late 19th Century)" so your button would be late 19th century 1875-1899.

For future reference if you don't already know the back-mark of the button is like a thumb print. Kewl find! :occasion14:
