Need help with button backmark

Hunted a new site today.
I found a nice flat button with a backmark of "Imperial London".
I was unable to find information on Google, Ebay, or a few button dedicated sites.
Anyone have any info on this button? It's the diamater of a modern dime and three times as thick.

british made "flat" button common around late 1700 early 1800's - popular from say 1770 to about 1820--- the british were big time button makers during that time--- however due to the war of 1812 americans started make buttons for ourselves --since during the war britian cut off supplies causing a button shortage in the usa -- the famous button makers of conneticut got their start during this time frame (1812)
