Need help with another button ID

Hey, found this today in the same spot as my early 1800's enlisted army button. This one is a bit trickier. It's not in great condition. It has a large '7' in the center, and a word along the top, that i cannot make out. It looks to be a 4 or 5 letter word, but the 7 is clearly visible. Nothing on the back. PLEASE HELP AGAIN! Thanks!

it is one piece. And although it does not have a shank, you can tell at one point, it did, on the back.

Looks like a lead bale seal to me. Is that dirt or two wire stubs sticking out of the side at the 11 and 4 o'clock positions?

Without a picture of the back, Ill also go with lead seal.
