I made a nice little score at a consignment shop today and got 11 pcs of an EKCO Eterna Canoe Muffin pattern danish modern wood handled flatware for $5, which usually do very well on ebay. Mixed in with the EKCO were three similar forks by a different maker, but I haven't been able to ID the hallmark. Has anyone seen this one before? It reads "Forged Stainless Japan", under the letters "Mi", with a round globe looking monogram. Any help ID'ing this one would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!

I knew this would be a tough one, so I managed to take a better pic of the hallmark. Thanks again!

The mark looks more like a stylized owl or bird than a globe to me.

Diggumup, yes, these have wooden style handles just like the Ecko, they look almost exactly the same. GibH. you could be right. My first though was a basketball or soccer ball, but that wouldn't make much sense on flatware, right?
