Need help with an ID for this. Solved: Logging eye hook

not sure what this is. early to mid 1800's site.

Is is a piece of farm equipment or some civil war gear? The flat broad end is curved a bit.

Any Ideas?

no the "blade" part is flat and curved

My bet then would be that the blade portion has gotten bent and it is a variation of what some people mistakenly refer to as "Log Dogs" .. but they are really Drive Hooks or Eye Hooks.
