Need help with a button ID

I found this yesterday while hunting an old military school. I am assuming it is a military button. Been doing a google search but haven't found anything about it yet. It says Pettibone Bros. It is about the size of a quarter. Any ideas? Thanks.

There is a Company from Cincinnati, OH that Manufactures buttons, among outher things, I think they also made Swords :P

Exactly. I was at Kemper Military School, Boonville, MO. That is the button. Wonder how old it is? The school was in operation for quite a while. Thanks for the help.
