Thomas Mott Osborne (b. Sept. 23, 1859)

In 1887, he assumed the presidency of his late father's company. He directed the firm Until 1903 when J.P. Morgan and associates purchased factories and stock for the international Harvester Trust Co. Osborne also held the positions of president in the Auburn Iron Works and the Cayuga County Dairy Co. and vice-president in the Eagle Wagon Works and the Columbian Rope Co. He was a principal stockholder of the National Bank of Auburn and one of its directors.

First thing I did was run a GOOGLE search on Eagle Wagon Works. I think I came accross much of the same information that has already been mentioned. However, without checking too closely, I don't know if the company is part of the Sullivan & Eagle Wagon works. The S&E company is listed as Peru Indiana. They could be different companies. I did find a reference in a genealogical source for

Harry Maxwell GLEN
08 Apr 1869 - 19 Nov 1930
OCCUPATION: President of the Glen Wagon & Car Company
1916, Cortland, NY, USA [56]
BIRTH: 08 Apr 1869, Havana, IL, USA
DEATH: 19 Nov 1930, Newburyport, MA, USA

The reference cited for the above information was,

[56] A piece of stationery reading:
Eagle Wagon Works
successors to
Glen Wagon & Car Corporation
manufacturers of
Tractor Hauling Road Building Equipment
Steel and Rubber Tier Trailers
both slow and fast moving
Horse Drawn Dump Wagons
factory and offices
Cortland, N.Y.

Still no mention of Auburn NY but it could be a possibility.

Sullivan and Eagle made Circus and Band Wagons. If there is a relation between the two companies, you might be able to consult with someone who knows circus wagons to find out. Maybe contact the Circus World Museum in Baraboo, WI. They are one of the biggest collectors and keepers of antique circus wagons. If anyone would know, they would.

Other refferences that I find are to Thomas Osborn and his political affiliations and such.
