Need help translating small Asian woodblock

This woodblock is very small only about 4 by 5 1/2 inches. Does seem to have some small worm holes and is attached to another paper. The back has a signature and date I cannot make out the signature but the date is 11/4/50 I’m thinking a lot older than 1950. If anyone can help with the script or the signature it is appreciated

Cool little piece. No reason, IMO, to think it's older than 1950. I recognize a couple of the characters as Japanese Hiragana. 1950 would make it Occupied Japan era - so it has that aspect going for you. I'm guessing from a street vendor.

The writing could be haiku.

A traditional Japanese haiku is a three-line poem with seventeen syllables, written in a 5/7/5 syllable count. Often focusing on images from nature, haiku emphasizes simplicity, intensity, and directness of expression.

I won't even begin to attempt translation. I've proven more than once on T-net that I really can't read Japanese...

Given the attitude of Japanese towards the American occupying force, it could say something like:

No wind in the tree
But I still have a wry smile
Round eye buy my sketch
