Not really a buckle, more a strap adjuster probably from a rucksack.:thumbsup:

I think its strap adjuster from ww2. Same achor they used as stamp

I think that anchor is the makers mark of North & Judd, not indicative of it being navy or military. They did make some military hardware, so it possibly is from a military rucksack, I'm just not sure if it's the only application they had for this.

I checked the ones on my WWII mountain packs and they measure 1-1/2" x 1-1/8"... what does this measure?
They do as well have the North & Judd anchor on them.
