Sure is odd.
Would need better photos from different angles up close and with some size reference to give much of an answer.
I don't see patterns of bone material but it could be a cast.

Half of a peanut?

Its hard to get a clear closeup pic - hope these are better- thanks for help

Where was it found?
Have you found other fossils there?
If so.. what?

Wow..that first one is crazy looking.
I'm not used to seeing any of what you have here in Florida.
That thing looks like a drywall anchor or a set screw.. LOL.
The other looks like a bullet after impact.. what are they?

bout2 lets see what is in your avatar in the NA Indian forum. We like seeing arrowheads over there.

Hey Rock - im new to site so ill have to find out how to do that but I would love to show off what we have found. Here is pic of arrowhead found in garden last year. The tip is still very sharp and first one found with notches in on both sides. The weird screw-like thing is a Crinoid stem piece. the other is most likely a shell impression. Don't have any idea on the first one though

Thanks ninja for ID -i have found several crinoid fossils but first one with perfect star shape

We find these here in Missouri as well, usually in rocks that are full of Crinoid debris. I will try to post a picture...

Here are pics of one of my garden rocks that is full of Crinoid pieces.

We do have a lot of the star shaped column pieces along with the other shapes. Missouri's state fossil is the Crinoid because rocks are loaded with Crinoids and pieces. Some rocks are made up entirely of Crinoid columns and pieces. Here is a pic of one of my favorite little finds

Yeah - that is really cool. Im pretty sure we dont have anything like that here in NW Ga. Thanks for showing find.

While im not sure what the fossil is your trying to identify, I do know there is another one just like it in the pics of the Crinoid hash that eppingera posted. it's just about dead center and left in both pics! lol.
