Looks late 18th century.

These baket-weave pattern buttons, with an alpha shank and often a "split anvil" line across the center of the back, are known as transitionals, dating from around the turn of the 18th century. The lettering may be "GOLD COLOUR" or 'TREBLE PLATED," two common quality marks seen on transitionals with this eagle & ribbons device. At least some have been attributed by Tice as of British manufacture.
