not sure what this is. was thinking may be a buckle or a broach and i was hoping it was roman but i have not got a clue any help would be great thanks

Hello well it could be Roman, and it could be Medieval, it could also be a Buckle, if the back is flat, the chances are a Buckle. It could also be part of a mount Try and get some better close up shots if you can. What was the site it came from...any idea.

yes it was a roman site the only other item i found was a round lead item with hole it it
i took i close look at back and t it is flat with nothing on it
got a better pic of front

My money would be on part of a Buckle, but it also might be part of a Medieval strap-end....the bottom part.
