The design on that button back, plus the loop shank, say late 18th - early 19th Century (maybe up to about 1840's), but someone on here with a button book could peg it at a more precise date. I actually found a button with that same back design the other day.

Not sure about the pendant. Nice finds!

Thanks! I know nothing about buttons. What state did you find yours in?
 

HAVE FOUND THOSE TYPE BUTTONS ALL OVER NEW ENGLAND
YOU WANT TO HIT THAT SPOT AGAIN - NICE OLD FLAT BUTTON
 

Zolotoy, I am hunting a little ghost town that started in 1812 and have found many at the oldest sites. The button is a great indicator you are in a spot that may yield some golden oldies. :icon_thumleft:

That's cool! I just thought it was an old button when I found it.
